Govt considers Open Left pension proposals

Business Secretary Vince Cable today that the Government is considering a radical overhaul of the state pension system, in line with recommendations in the recent Open Left report . The report recommends a move towards a single tier, non-means-tested contributory state pension.

“Labour moved to stop the Auckland International Airport from being sold to the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board because Labour cinrodesed the Airport to be a strategic asset”Yet it allowed wellington power infrastructure to be sold to Hong Kong investors. Yay.
